AE01 Best of Nairobi City Excursion and Tour 1⁄2 day

This is a mixture of a city drive together with some walking. Highlight of the tour is a visit to the top of the Kenyatta International Conference Centre. Drive past the mausoleum of the founding father of Kenya, His Excellency the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Parliament Buildings, the 1900 railway Station and the site of the 1998 American Embassy Bomb Blast and downtown Nairobi.


Best Timings 10.00 am – 14.00 pm or 12.00 noon to 16.00 hrs

 

AE02 Kibera Slum Tour and Excursion 1⁄2 day

Drive to the urban slum and walk through a selected area of the slum. Have a chai at a kiosk and you have the option of donating food stuff to needy children in the Kibera Village. Then visit the Kenyatta Market for a local shopping experience. Authentic Kenyan roast meat may be ordered at the market together with kachumbari- (local salad) and Ugali.

Timings 10.00 am – 14.00 pm or 12.00 noon to 16.00 hrs

AE03 Nairobi Suburbs Excursion and short driving trip 1⁄2 day

Drive past the Kibera urban slums through to the South B shopping centre and South C areas - Middle class areas. From there drive past the leafy Lavington suburbs with the Junction Mall and Lavington shopping centres - Upper class suburb. Then drive to the Muthaiga suburb, where many Embassies and the Cream of Society stay. The tour ends with a drive past the United Nations Head Quarters and the American Embassy.

An optional stop at the Village Market Shopping Centre is recommended.

Timings 10.00 am – 14.00 pm or 12.00 noon to 16.00 hrs

AE04 Nairobi National Park WildLife Excursion 4Hrs

Visit the Nairobi National Park only a few kilometers from the city center and drive past the Kenyatta National Hospital and Kibera slums. Indeed the city adjoins the Nairobi National Park on the entire southern perimeter,so it is possible to photograph animals browsing peacefully among the whistling thorns. Some of the wildlife is migratory and when vegetation and water are plenty outside the park, they migrate out into the Masaai land through the unfenced southern boundary. There is also a resident

population of plains game and predators so a visit at any time of the year is a rewarding experience. Well laid out, with well maintained roads, the Park within the city is an ecological model for all other cities geophysical and administratively. N/B: Of the big five, only the elephant is absent.
 

Recommended timings are 6.30 am-10.00 a.m. or 2.00pm to 6.00pm.

AE05 Wild Nairobi Excursion David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage 2 Hrs Tour

The orphaned baby elephants and baby rhinos are interesting and exiting to see.  The feeding time is between 1100hrs and 1200hrs.  They are covered with African kikoi’s and really look happy anytime people go to visit them.  They are fed on milk from a bottle and there is also a lot of history about where and when they were rescued.  They bear most of Kiswahili names in relation to their previous life.  You can’t miss the exciting experience.

AE06 Wild Nairobi Excursion Giraffe Manor | Giraffe Centre 2Hrs

Visit theGirrafe Centre to View the endangered Rothschild giraffe. It’s built on a platform to make it easier for people to feed the giraffes from their hands.  The house has also lots of writing on the walls about giraffes and their behaviors.  With prior arrangement, people can watch video of the Rothschild giraffe. There is a nice coffee shop and a curio shop.  Try their products, its all Kenyan to build Kenya.

AE07 Nairobi Heritage and Cultural - Best of Museums Excursion – 1⁄2 Day

(can be combined with wild Nairobi) to mark full day tour

Drive to the Nairobi Museum and also visit the adjacent Snake Park. The Nairobi Museum offers a tremendous wealth of Kenyan information and is a must for every visitor. There after visit the Railway Museum and drive through City Centre Nairobi onto Ngong Road to visit Kazuri Beads a project supporting single ladies and then the Karen Blixen Museum. After Karen Blixen you drive to the Bomas of Kenya and visit the traditional homestead designs at the Bomas of Kenya then later enjoy the traditional dances and acrobatic show before you end your tour.

NOTE: Lunch may be taken at either the Tamambo or Talisman restaurant or the Galleria mall.

AE08 Nairobi Nightlife Excursion | Nightclub Hoping Tour-1/2 Night

Nairobi city's nightlife is vibrant, fun and plentiful. While it is affectionately nicknamed as “the green city in the sun”, the city retains its life long after the sun sets. You can choose from the huge number of sport bars, movies, discotheques, live music joints and exclusive clubs. And that’s not all: Nairobi nightlife also provides you with comedy clubs that will leave you fully entertained.

• Option Two City Centre – Tribeka, I - club, Bettyz, Florida 2000 – Nairobeans.

AE09 FULL DAY EXCURSIONS OUT OF NAIROBI CITY - Uplands View Point Tour Cheese and Tea Farms – Full Day {7.00am – 5.00pm}

Leisurely drive along Waiyaki Way past the Limuru Highlands & to the first view point overlooking the Rift Valley which is lovely place to take pictures and have a chai at the local kiosk. From there, visit Brown’s cheese and the best of Kenyan world class and winning cheese. Lunch at the neighbouring tea farm established in 1910 and having been home to four generations. The Kiambethu Tea Farm is a lush and lovely tea estate in the Limuru Highlands where you will have an introduction of the area as well as an opportunity to learn some history. A walk through the tea plantations and forests is an interesting experience and you also will be shown tea pickers plucking the leaves and buds from each plantation- the uplands is a rich fertile land with an abundance of rainfall.
Optional stop at the Sarit Centre Shopping Mall.

AE10 Hells Gate National Park & Lake Naivasha – Full Day Trip Excursion {7.00am to 5.00pm}

“Hells Gate” National Park is a leisurely two hour drive from Nairobi past the Rift Valley view points. Located between Lake Naivasha, Longonot and Suswa Volcanoes, it is an ideal venue for a day trip far from the urban life of Nairobi. The park provides a variety of wildlife, unusual flora and many species of birds and is one of the two only Kenyan parks where climbing, walking and biking are allowed.Animals seen here include Bushback, Dikdik, Gazelle, Gnu, Hartebeest, Impala, Klipspringer, Buffalo, Hyrax, Zebra, Hyena, Jackal, Mongoose, Baboon, Monkey and Porcupine amongst others. You may need to take your swimming costume and swim in the nature spa pool at Hells Gate. Lunch may be arranged at Elsamere, a living tribute to the Adamsons famous for their up bring of lions in the sixties.

AE11 Great Rift Valley Escarpment and Lake Nakuru Park Excursion – Full Day {6.00am to 6.00pm}

This is a lovely drive along the top of rift valley and finishing at Lake Nakuru.Once just bird sanctuary, Lake Nakuru is now the best place in Kenya to see the highly protected black and white rhino. Among other animals found in the park include rhino, lion, leopard, flamingoes, Egyptian geese, waterbuck, giraffe, hyena, buffalo, baboons, vervet monkeys, gazelles. Depending on the time of the year, Lake Nakuru may be a pink landscape caused by Flamingoes.

AE12 Central Kenya Cultural Excursion Tour - Full Day {6.00am to 6.00pm}

Central Kenya is home to the largest ethnic community group of the Gikuyu, Embu and Meru communities. Drive past the largest population and suburb of Nairobi and stop at Thika to view the Chania falls. Then proceed to a stopover at a local shop in Karatina and then visit the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, within the Ol Pejeta Game Reserve visit Morani the rhino and the Chimpazee sanctuaries. Lunch may be booked at the Serena Sweet Waters Tented Camp. The Ol pejeta conservancy boasts an outstanding number of animals and the big five.

AE13 Walking Expedition Excursion City Safaris 1⁄2 DAY - 9-11 or any daytime hours

Nairobi city is a fascinating city to explore. We offer this options accompanied by one of our customer
service managers and an addition of our staff member.

Nairobi Arboretum: Walk to the Arboretum park - 2km is a lovely park with tremendous and indigenous trees. At Arboretum, a guided tour by an Arboretum resident park ranger may be arranged at an extra cost.

LOCAL SHOPPING EXTRA
Visit the small bazaars tucked away in the busy Nairobi streets and the city market. Bargaining is an art and expected.
