AE130 3 Days Uganda Adventure Safari-Murchison Falls National Park

Day 1 - Kampala -Muchison Falls
Depart from Kampala through beautiful green undulating countryside for Murchison Falls National Park 350 km via the districts of Luwero, Nakasongola and Masindi.  Lunch en-route in Masindi on arrival at the park.  A visit to the top of the falls where you will get the opportunity to look down the stream plunging into a narrow gorge.  Evening continue

the journey to lodge which lies at the river bank.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge.


Day 2 - Muchison Falls Full Day
After early breakfast, drive to Parks Headquarters where you will cross the river using a ferry to southernbanks of the Nile, some 20
miles upstream from its delta into Lake Albert.  You will take a game drive through the Buligi circuit.  Game to see will include buffalo, giraffe, elephant, Kob, waterbuck, hartebeest, oribi etc, plus a great variety of bird life and possibly lion or leopard.  Lunch break at lodge/ camp. At  3.00 pm, take a boat cruise to the base of Murchison Falls, first discovered by the British explorer - Sir Samuel
Baker.  Here the River Nile thunders down through a chasm 20 feet wide.  This boat journey is one of Uganda's classic showpieces -
You will meet river wildlife including scores of hippo and Nile-crocodile.  It is also here that you will have the best chance of
spotting the rare shoe-bill stork.  On return, take a shoebill boat and cruise back to lodge/Camp. Dinner and overnight under the stars.

 

Day 3 -Murchison Falls -Kampala
Early departure with your luggage for a guided 2/3hour tour to Pabidi/Kanyiyo Forest in search for chimpanzee and other primates as well as a variety of bird life.  Continue to Masindi for a lunch break in a town restaurant.  After lunch depart for Kampala and arrive in the evening and straight to your residence/hotel.
 

 

AE131 04 Days Queen Elizabeth & Kibale Forest National Parks Lodge Safari

Day 1:  Kampala Uganda- Kibale Forest
Early departure for Kibale Forest via Mityana and Mubende about 350 km. You will pass through delightful scenery and rolling tea plantations of Kabarole.  Lunch at Ruwenzori Guest Hotel in Fort Portal followed by a short visit to Amabere caves.  Continue to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 2:  Kibale Forest - Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early breakfast, followed by an exciting 3 to 4 hr trek in search of Chimpanzee. The forest provides one of the highest primate densities in the world. You will see families of chimps and red colobus monkeys, chattering and swinging through the ancient forest trees.  A variety of birdlife and species of butterfly. After lunch, leave for  Queen Elizabeth National Park via Bigodi Wetlands for a guided walk. Journey takes you through Kasese, arriving in the evening at the lodge which is on a peninsular. 
Dinner and overnight.


Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early game drive before breakfast through the Kasenyi track where you will meet abundant game such as Kob, Warthog, and possibly Lions and Leopards as well as numerous birds.  Return for breakfast and remain at leisure until lunchtime.  Afternoon take the boat trip to Kazinga Channel, where you will encounter schools of Hippos, variety of birds and fishermen at work.  On return, depart for Camp for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park - Maramagambo Forest- Kampala
After early breakfast, depart for a 1 to 2 hrs guided walk into Maramagambo Forest in search of primates, bat caves and possibly pythons.  Continue to Kampala through large banana plantations of Bushenyi and Masaka.  Not to miss also are the numerous herds of Ankole cattle with their rare long horns.  Lunch en route.  You will make a stop over in Kinoni for traditional mats and stool, the equator as well as at Mpambire for traditional drums.  You will arrive in Kampala in the evening and straight to Entebbe International Airport for flight connections.
